The front of 5g gold coin
The People's Bank of China issued a set of commemorative coins on April 18, made up of two gold and five silver. All seven coins are legal tender in the People’s Republic of China.
Two of the coins, one gold and one silver, are heart-shaped. 10,000 of the gold coins and 20,000 of the silver coins are now in distribution.
The front of each coin is engraved with Chinese characters “Ji Xiang”, meaning auspicious, as well as “The People’s Republic of China” in Chinese and the year 2019.
The back of each coin features various Chinese idioms and related pictures, dependant on the coin's face value.
