Xu Mingsheng, a craftsman born in the 1990s, makes a clay sculpture at his studio in Daixi Township of Huzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, Aug. 6, 2018. After graduating from China Academy of Art in 2016, Xu and his wife Zhu Yue returned to Xu's hometown in Daixi Township to inherit the handicraft of clay sculpture from his father. The couple established local reputation and receive hundreds of orders annually. They also teach children clay sculpture techniques in their studio for free. A nation will prosper only when its young people thrive; a country will be full of hope and have a great tomorrow only when its younger generations have ideals, ability, and a strong sense of responsibility. Young people always play a vanguard role in realizing national rejuvenation, which is the mission of the Chinese youth in the new era. In China many young people realize the value of life through hard work. They are writing a brilliant chapter worthy of our times in their efforts to take advantage of their youthful vigor, explore life and contribute to society. (Xinhua/Zhao Dingzhe)
