BEIJING, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Zhao Leji met with a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) here Friday, calling on the two sides to enhance exchanges and cooperation.

During the meeting, Zhao, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC, spoke of the remarkable achievements the two sides have made in developing their comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation in recent years.

Stating that China is willing to work with Vietnam to fully implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two parties and the two countries, Zhao called on both sides to strengthen political mutual trust, enhance exchanges of experience on Party and state governance, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields and properly manage and control differences so as to push for greater development of their socialist cause.

Vo Van Thuong, head of the CPV Central Committee's Communication and Education Commission and head of the CPV delegation, congratulated the CPC on its 98th founding anniversary.

Thuong said that the Vietnamese side attaches great importance to developing relations with China and stands ready to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China to push forward the advancement of relations between the two parties and the two countries.

The CPV delegation is in China to attend the 15th theoretical seminar between the two parties.
