On the morning of Oct. 10, the guided-missile destroyer Taiyuan of the Chinese navy arrived in Yokosuka, Japan, where it was warmly welcomed by the Japanese maritime self-defense force, overseas Chinese, Chinese-funded institutions, overseas students and Japanese friends. This is the second visit of a Chinese naval vessel to Japan in the past 10 years, and it is the first time for the Chinese naval vessel to participate in the local naval parade.
