
Xiong Guoan trims an unburnt porcelain bowl in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi Province, Oct. 28, 2019. Xiong Guoan, an inheritor of thin body porcelain in Jingdezhen of Jiangxi, learnt the art from his father when he was 12 years old. Working in the field for 47 years, he insists for perfection in the making procedures. The shaping of the unburnt porcelain is the essence of the craft, during which craftsman will use tools to peel the unburnt porcelain until it can be penetrated by the light.
