Summer is over and winter is upon us. But in between, luckily, we are graced with autumn, bringing its very own shine. Gradually, the leaves begin to change, and the forests and parks of Beijing are bathed in beautiful colors. Those who have patience over the coming month will experience their "red miracle" as the mountains around Beijing become a beautiful array of golds, reds and browns.
This natural spectacle can be viewed especially well from Baiwangshan Forest Park. If you want to enjoy the beauty of this special season, here is a great opportunity for it, less than an hour from central Beijing by subway. (Photo/Tanja Herko)
