Recently, the 2019 Asian Cheerleading Championship and Asia Pacific cheerleading open tournament, jointly sponsored by International Cheer Union and State Physical Culture Administration, was held in Shenzhen. The cheerleading team of Pu'er University won two championships and one runner-up.
The Asian Cheerleading Championship is the highest level and the largest event in Asia.
