BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has called on the general offices of local governments to improve their services for people, policymaking and implementation.
Local governments' general offices should stay committed to serving people, Li said Wednesday while meeting delegates attending a national conference for local government secretaries and general office directors.
The general office, as an administrative hub within a government, should contribute more to the efficient operation of local governments, Li said.
Li urged them to be forward-looking, acute and aware of people and enterprises' demands while offering advice for government policymaking.
The general offices must also push forward implementation of various policies and reform measures and enhance cross-department coordination, Li said.
