Wuhan of central China's Hubei province, the former epicenter of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), has regained some of its normalcy during the first weekend after the two-month lockdown ended.
Many snack shops along the streets, particularly food shops of time-honored brands along the Jiqing street, have reopened. Meanwhile, many people have queued up outside mobile phone maintenance shops, with more pedestrians and vehicles on the streets.
Supermarkets, banks and restaurants, subways and other public transportation have resumed their operations; however, people still wear face masks, as the epidemic prevention and control measures in communities have not been relaxed.
