BEIJING (People’s Daily Online) --Danish Embassy in China organized a "Climate Race" together with China Bicycle Association and authority of Yanqing County to raise awareness of modern urban lifestyle, green transportation and climate issues on Saturday.
Ines Brunn and three Chinese performers present a bike stunt show at the opening ceremony of the climate race. A German physicist and a passionate cyclist, Ines Brunn was a competitive athlete for over 20 years and a member of the German National Team of indoor cycling for 10 years.
She was a researcher at a particle accelerator, who used to live in the USA for six years, then relocated to Beijing in 2004. In 2007, fueled by her passion, Brunn and a friend initiated the steadily growing community of fixed gear bicyclists in Beijing. Brunn founded Natooke – the first fixed gear bike and juggling shop in China. Nowadays, she still performs around the world.
