The first private flying club in Tianjin opened in a local airport on July 12, 2014. The club, which is located in the Douzhuang Airport in the New Binhai Area, owns more than 20 planes and helicopters.
Citizens can learn about flying skills from professional pilots, have a close look at all helicopters and planes, fly a plane in the New Binhai Area for sightseeing, and experience a farm life in the club.
Customers can also live in a pilot accommodation community and dine at a pilot-themed restaurant in the airport. Flying experience packages at different levels cost from 500 yuan to 12,000 yuan.
Club manager Dou Ruchao believed that the market potential is great, as more and more people start to own a plane or rent a plane to experience flying.
