Recently, a group of passionate youths participated in a competition of the traditional Chinese archery event. Even though they can’t shoot with great precision, they had professional and decent postures. The fans are from 'Fei Yu club'which organizes practices and matches every weekend. Youths who are deeply in love with the traditional sport are rarely seen nowadays.

Zhao Pinjun is the person in charge of 'Fei Yu club'. He got to know traditional archery by chance, after that he rapidly fall in love with the amazing sport. He formed an archery team and gathered many fans in half a year. Now some of the team members are invited to take part in various amateur competitions.

There are six archery teams in Chongqing, each with nearly 1,000 members. Chongqing is basking in a great boom in archery. Practicing archery can strengthen one’s waist and legs, build up muscles of chest and back, and improve body stability and coordination. It is a wonderful sport for white-collar workers.

Archery appeared in the early years of human civilization; it was widely used and topped all of the weapons in the Warring States Period. The children of aristocrat families were asked to learn archery from childhood. Confucius, the greatest sage in ancient China, named archery as one of the Six Arts in Confucian school. The Six Arts included music, archery, mathematics, ritual, chariot-riding and calligraphy.
