Vladimir Monomakh Nuclear Submarine
Vladimir Monomakh is a Russian ballistic missile nuclear submarine of the fourth generation Borei-class (Project 955). It entered service on Dec. 19, 2014. The submarine is armed with the newest submarine-launched ballistic missile "Bulava", developed in Russian.
Russia plans to build 8 Vladimir Monomakh submarines by 2020. It is seen as an opponent of the Ohio-class nuclear submarine by the U.S. Navy.
