
GUIYANG, Feb. 25 -- Five people died when their car plunged off a cliff in southwest China's Guizhou Province on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident took place at about 1:30 p.m. in Yanhe County of Tongren City when a car carrying six people back from a wedding ceremony slipped off the edge of a mountainous road, the county government said.
The survivor is receiving treatment in hospital, it added.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
