
HOHHOT, June 1 -- Fire fighters in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region are battling a grassland fire that crossed the Sino-Mongolian border into China on Monday.
Armed police officers in Hinggan League said that aided by strong gale, the fire that had raged in Mongolia for three days crossed the border at about noon.
A total of 350 officers have arrived at the site. They managed to basically control the fire after fighting it along 15 km of the border.
