?Believes the key thing is to be prepared to make mistakes when learning
?Important to keep learning fun, so change computer games into different languages and watch foreign films and cartoons
Britons and Americans do not have the world's best reputation for learning foreign languages.
But apparently we all have the ability to learn multiple lingos, at least according to Irish polyglot Benny Lewis.
The global traveller believes he can help people become fluent in just three months, and has written a book outlining how.
Benny at the Great Wall Of China - the 32-year-old travels the world learning languages
Since 2003, Lewis has become a fluent and confident speaker of seven languages; and he's able to have confident conversations in many others.
His aim is to help people feel confident in speaking another language, even if they've only just started learning.
He says his mission in life is 'giving people permission to make mistakes,' as 'the more mistakes you make, the faster you become a confident language learner.'
The 32-year-old, who travels the world with nothing more than 23kg of possessions in his rucksack, has his own tried and tested ways of learning languages and says anyone else who uses them is capable of learning a language in three months too...
