Visiting Taiwan temple fairs or night markets may be the best way to get a taste of Taiwanese culture. On the occasion of the 7th Straits Forum, the largest annual event for cross-Strait exchanges, a Taiwan temple fair was held from June 12 to 16 in Xiamen, southeast China's Fujian province, which offers a chance for people on the mainland to have a better understanding of Taiwan through snacks and artifacts.
