"By 2034, the Asia-Pacific region will become the leader in global air transport market, and China will have the largest market in 10 years," John Leahy, the Chief Operating Officer of Airbus Customer Services, told People's Daily Online at the 2015 Paris Air Show.
Leahy pointed out that Asia and emerging markets give new impetus to the air transport industry. China, India, Middle East, Africa and Latin America will enjoy higher economic growth rate than the world average level.
In today's emerging economies, 25 percent of the population travel by air once a year, and this number will grow to 74 percent by 2034. In North America and other developed economies, every person will take flight more than two times per year by 2034.
