
News of Russia's TASS declared on July 24, 2015 that Russian servicemen will take part in the Victory Day parade at Beijing's Tiananmen Square on September 3, according to the Russian Defense Ministry's press service on Friday. [Special coverage]
"Participation of the Chinese troops in the Victory Day parade in Russia's Red Square on May 9, 2015 was a sign of gratitude to the victors' braveness and heroism, the Russia's guard of honor is due to participate in the Victory Day parade at China's Tiananmen Square on September 3." according to an statement made by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
On Friday, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov took part in a gala reception to celebrate the 88th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) at China's Embassy in Moscow.
"In his welcome speech, Anatoly Antonov said that Russian-Chinese relations in defense remain strategic, with the aim to beef up mutual potential capabilities of coping with new challenges and threats. With this goal in mind, Russia and China conduct joint exercises regularly, " said the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Earlier in July, the Joint Sea 2015 joint naval drills were held showcasing the naval sailor's perfect military skills, mutual understanding and determination to complete tasks together, according to the TASS.
