HEFEI, July 28 -- Li Jinbin was elected governor of east China's Anhui Province at a session of the provincial legislature on Tuesday.
Wang Xuejun, Communist Party chief of Anhui, was also elected chairman of the standing committee of the 12th Provincial People's Congress of Anhui at the fifth plenary session of the provincial legislature.
Li is a native of Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. He was born in 1958. He served as vice governor of Jilin Province and head of the organization department of the Shaanxi provincial committee of the Communist Party of China between 2002 and early 2013.
