The first Disney holiday resort on Chinese mainland - Shanghai Disney holiday resort will come into operation in 2016. On July 15, it unveiled six theme areas for the first time.

President and CEO of Walt Disney Company, Robert A. lger, says: “Shanghai Disney holiday resort is a unique destination for holiday. It will be integrated into Chinese ever-lasting and special charms, and present the best Disney stories. It will bring a distinct recreational experience for Chinese travelers.”

As the first Disney theme park on Chinese mainland, Shanghai Disney holiday resort will include following innovative spots when it is opened.

Six major theme parks, Mickey Main Street, Fantasy Gardens, Explorative Islands, Further World, Bay of Treasures and Land of Dreams.

-The two fantastic theme parks, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, are adjacent to the theme park.

- “Disney Town” is an international shopping, catering and recreational zone adjacent to the theme park. The Grand Walt Disney Theatre will be located there to perform the popular music drama of Broadway, the Chinese version of The Lion King, globally.
