A promotional video for central China's Henan province is being broadcast in New York's Times Square, according to reports.
The video is divided into four chapters - Central, Harmony, Commerce, and Grain -- and showcases Henan's traditional culture and heritage.
It also presents calligraphy, the Yellow River, the Longmen Grottoes, the Shaolin Temple, Chinese medicine, and the local Yu opera.
In addition to historical reflections, the video touches on Henan's modern developments, showcasing a flashy downtown Zhengzhou, the province's capital city. It also gives tips on Henan's food production, led by Huimian, a local style of noodle.
The video was released online as Ning Zetao, a Zhengzhou native, won gold in the 100-meter freestyle at the 2015 FINA Swimming World Championship last Thursday, which was held in Kazan, Russia.
