A former bureau official in Xianyang, Shaanxi province, was expelled from the Party and dismissed from his office as he was involved in a case in which a girl died from falling off a tall building.
On July 17, a 19-year-old girl Xiao Qin (not her real name) was found dead after falling down from the 33rd floor of a residential building in Xianyang city, Shaanxi province, and her parents thought their daughter's death was related with Fu Yanlin, former director of Weicheng branch of Xianyang Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, and reported it to the police and the bureau.
During the investigation by the police and bureau, Fu confessed that he got to know the girl through chatting on an online app early this year and had sex with her. Later the girl told Fu that she was pregnant and got 3,000 yuan ($467) from him.
The city's Party discipline inspection department issued the punishment to Fu on Wednesday saying that he broke the Party's discipline and seriously violated the social morality by having an illegal affair with the woman.
The preliminary investigation made by police showed that the death was not a homicide and further investigation into the case is still ongoing.
