
The Chinese Consulate in Bangkok confirmed that 2 died in the Bangkok blast, one male and one female. But the exact number of Chinese casualties are not confirmed yet.
Zhu Wedong, Chinese Consul General in Bangkok, told People's Daily that they have visited the injured Chinese nationals at a hospital and also contacted their family members. They also provided translation services to the injured Chinese there .
27 people were killed and many injured in an explosion in downtown Bangkok on Monday night, according to local media.
The explosion happened at about 7 p.m. local time near Erawan Shrine at Ratchaprasong intersection, a popular destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
