Recently, a 70-year-old contestant from Chengdu won the gold prize of a national pole dance competition. Her name is Dai Dali. She started learning pole dance four years ago. Before that, Dai also studied folk dance and Latin dance.
In order to practice, Dai set up a pole at her home. Because of her age and her excellent dancing skills, she soon became popular. Many newspapers and TV stations interviewed her. There are also some controversies about her.
"For me, pole dance is just a way of exercise. I don't make money of it. So there is no pressure," she said.
Dai told journalists that her goal is to dance till she turns 82 years old. Just like the supermodel Carmen Dell' Orefice who still stands on T-stage at the age of 82.
