Two police and an old woman were seen kneeling down on a street in Handan city, Hebei Province on Friday. The old woman was crying and pleading frenziedly, as the police quietly knelt before her.
Handan police authorities later explained that their colleagues had pulled over a car on Friday for suspecting the driver driving under the influence.
But the driver’s mother got out of the car and knelt down before the police, in an attempt to beg them not to arrest her son.
To avoid any misunderstanding from the public, the police knelt down as well.
