The huge screen in Times Square displayed the video of US-China friendship made by Sino-American Friendship Association of then Chinese vice-president Xi Jinping during his visit to the US, including the photos when he visited Muscatine County in Iowa in 1985 and photos of him meeting US President Obama in Beijing in 2009.
The video was played from the morning of Feb 14, 2012, to the next day. It was the first time that a video welcoming Chinese leaders was played in Times Square for such a long time.
