
On Aug. 13, a "John Doe" with 40 percent of burn area and in deep coma was sent to the ICU of the central hospital from Teda Hospital. Doctors speculated he was a firefighter judging from his camouflage clothing. On Sept. 2, the identity of the "John Doe" was confirmed through DNA comparison. He is a firefighter named Zhang Chaofang. After several operations, Zhang finally woke up on Sept. 22.
