Few people have ever seen artifacts from the High Qing era or "Prosperous Age," including astronomical instruments, weights and measures, mathematics devices and other everyday accessories.
Over 110 treasures of this sort, preserved in the Palace Museum, are being exhibited in the Shandong Provincial Museum starting on December 1, 2015. These treasures reflect achievements of advanced western technology. Relevant paintings and books are also on display.
This exhibition offers over 20 interactive opportunities to viewers.
The High Qing or "Prosperous Age" was a period spanning 133 years, from 1662 to 1795, under governance beginning with the Kangxi Emperor and ending with the Qianlong Emperor.
