Wei Sihao, 77, was a retired teacher in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang province. He had kept making donations to poor students with most of his income for many years. Besides the monthly 5,000 yuan pension, he made money by collecting garbage in daily life. He always washed his hands before reading in Hangzhou Library. His experience had touched many people.
Unfortunately, this old man was hit by a taxicab at 6 p.m. on Nov. 18, 2015 when he collected garbage in the rain. He had been in a deep coma for 20 days after sent to the hospital. Although the medical team tried hard to save him, he eventually died of multi-organ failure.
"All the bills recorded my father's anonymous donation in these years. I did not know it until I began to sort out the items he left behind. He even signed the document for voluntary organ donation," said Miss Wu, Wei's daughter.
