1. Go to Luoguhe ancient town in January
Located in the northernmost point in northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Luoguhe ancient town, renowned for its beautiful sceneries, was called "The First Village at the Origin of the Heilongjiang River.”
Luoguhe ancient town, home to 36 households, has a history of nearly 100 years. The local people live in the "Mukeden", a kind of wooden house built with logs on the stone formation. The inside of a "Mukeden" is cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
Unique in style, they are undoubtedly works of art. But they are disappearing today due to difficulty in maintenance and the availability of modern construction materials such as brick, stucco and concrete.
