A total of 3,000 bottles of cosmetics containing botulinum toxin in a traveler's luggage are intercepted by Yantai Exit-Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in east China's Shandong province. Botulinum toxin is mainly used in the treatment of spasms and dystonias. It is also widely used in cosmetic treatments. Using botulinum toxin products that have not been quarantined may cause allergic reaction and paralysis of the wrong muscle group. (CNTV/Li Jingjing)
