On January 12, Yunnan Coffee Exchange formally became operational in Pu’er City, and a foundation stone laying ceremony of Yunnan Specialty Coffee Processing Zone was held.
Pu’er City, as one of birthplaces of Chinese coffee, has a total coffee planting area of 757,000 mu, yielding 49,500 tons of coffee. Featuring the largest planting area, the highest yield, and the best quality in China, the city has become the core production area of coffee and the major distribution center of coffee trade.
Relying on its advanced electronic trading systems, Yunnan Coffee Exchange can complete block spot trading of original coffee and specialty coffee by using such trading modes as listing, competitive pricing (auction), and bidding and procurement, to build a bridge of international exchange for Yunnan’s coffee industry.
