Wang Jing, mother of a 7-year-old girl in southwest China's Chongqing, was setting out different ingredients like bread, biscuits, chocolate sauce and blueberries in her kitchen on March 10. She was preparing a special breakfast for her daughter, which she named "Ocean World."
Wang Jing quit her job in early 2015 to stay at home with her daughter. Ever since, she has been making different elaborate breakfasts every day.
Wang designs each breakfast with a story in mind. As of March 10, she had made 232 different breakfasts.
Wang explained that her daughter, an elementary school student, is very shy. She wanted to use breakfast-time to delight and encourage her daughter before school.
The ideas and inspiration all come from daily life, Wang said, adding that she also posts photos of the food online.
As her daughter becomes more and more confident, Wang feels proud of what she has done.
