BEIJING, April 5 -- China expects to strengthen economic and trade cooperation with Myanmar, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday, with Foreign Minister Wang Yi mid-way through a Myanmar tour.
Wang is visiting from Tuesday to Wednesday at the invitation of Myanmar's new Foreign Minister Aung San Suu Kyi.
Wang will hold talks with Suu Kyi and meet other Myanmar leaders, said spokesperson Hong Lei at the daily press conference.
