A 63-year-old woman named Li Jingsheng in central China's Luoyang has carved all 108 heroes from the novel “Water Margin,” which is considered one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. To accomplish this task, Li employed small pedicure blades, chinanews.com reported on Wednesday.
According to Li, she has no background in carving. It took her years to complete the 108 carvings, but she has the time now that she is retired. She also plans to carve the characters from another of the Four Great Classical Novels, “Dream of the Red Chamber.”
