
TAIYUAN, Aug. 30 -- The local legislature in Shanxi on Tuesday appointed Lou Yangsheng as acting governor of the northern Chinese province.
In June 2014, Lou was appointed deputy secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and he now still holds the post.
Lou, 57, is a native of Pujiang, Zhejiang Province.
The Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial People's Congress also accepted the resignation of governor Li Xiaopeng.
