
XI'AN, April 1 -- Hu Heping was appointed deputy and acting governor of northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Friday.
The Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People's Congress made the appointment at a session held Friday in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi.
Hu Heping, 54, is a native of Linyi City in east China's Shandong Province.
The legislature accepted the resignation of former governor Lou Qinjian at the session.
Lou has been appointed as the Party chief of Shaanxi, according to a decision of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
