The fifth Hainan Volcano Cycling Cultural Festival had its grand opening at the Huoshankou National Geopark in Xiuying District, Haikou, provincial capital of south China's Hainan on Jan. 11, 2020.
Nearly 3,000 cyclists, competitors and tourists gathered in Huoshankou to experience the world's only volcano-themed off-road cycling course.
The green corridor at the foot of Huoshankou National Geopark is shaded by trees and the leisure lanes are smooth and open. Along the way, the volcanic stone fences are covered with moss plants.
Compared with indoor and road cycling tracks, mountain bike trails are more attractive in terms of playability, flexibility and competition.
The park is filled with greenery, and as the concentration of negative oxygen ions in the air is up to 4,000/m3, it is just like a natural oxygen bar.
The unique ecological environment, the mountain course covered with natural volcanic stone, the unique scenery and volcanic culture along the way can also provide a unique riding experience for riders.
