Beijing will offer considerable subsidies to new energy vehicle buyers, with pure electric cars attracting a subsidy of up to 108,000 yuan, according to the commercial authorities of Beijing.
A joint promotion of new energy vehicles will be held by the Commerce Commission, Science Technology Commission, and Development & Reform Commission of Beijing. Different subsidies will be offered to different types of new energy vehicles. Buyers of pure electric cars with a driving range between 80 and 150 kilometers will get a subsidy of 63,000 yuan, while those with a driving range between 150 and 250 kilometers will receive 90,000 yuan. New energy vehicles that can run more than 250 kilometers on a single charge will attract an allowance of 108,000 yuan on purchase.
Beijing authorities will offer convenience for the demonstration and trial running of these vehicles. Through such efforts, Beijing hopes to steer consumers towards a more environmentally-friendly way of life.
