
BEIJING, July 27 -- Senior Chinese official Meng Jianzhu met with a delegation from the Central Internal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam on Monday.
Meng, head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said China and Vietnam currently enjoy close exchange of visits between senior party and government officials as well as pragmatic cooperation in economy and trade.
He said China stands ready to work with Vietnam to strengthen cooperation between their political and legal departments.
Nguyen Doan Khanh, who led the delegation, said the Vietnam is willing to make joint efforts with China to consolidate the traditional friendship and promote bilateral ties.
