
BEIJING, Aug. 3 -- Two local officials are under investigation on suspicion of corruption, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) said on Monday.
The Shanxi provincial procuratorate in north China has approved the arrest of Zhang Yueyi, former deputy head of Party history office of Shanxi provincial committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Zhang is suspected of abusing power and is under probe.
The procuratorate of Bijie city in southwest China's Guizhou Province has launched investigation into a case involving Ding Xudong, former head of Guanshanhu district of the provincial capital Guiyang.
Ding is suspected of taking bribes and has been placed under "coercive measures", which include summons by force, bail, residential surveillance, detention and arrest, according to the SPP.
