At the invitation of South African President Jacob Zuma, Chinese President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to South Africa from Dec. 2 to 5, and chair the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) in Johannesburg. South Africa is called Rainbow Nation, which is a not only a term to describe that different people could live peacefully in post-apartheid South Africa, but also an expression reflecting the beauty of the country. The 14 pictures, two of which represent one color of rainbow, will illustrate some basic facts of South Africa. (Xinhua/Zhai Jianlan)
