Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Britain on Oct. 19-23, 2015 at the invitation of Queen Elizabeth II.
Talking about the achievements made during the visit, Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi highlighted the agreement signed by Chinese and French companies to cooperate in the building of a nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point in southwest England.
He said this is the first time China has cooperated with developed countries on construction in major strategic industries, and the project will be a "flagship" component of China-Britain cooperation.
