
BEIJING, March 30 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has appointed six new ambassadors, upon approval by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, according to a statement by the national legislature.
Geng Wenbing was appointed ambassador to Switzerland, replacing Xu Jinghu.
Yang Xiaorong was appointed ambassador to Madagascar, replacing Yang Min.
Liu Quan was appointed ambassador to Vanuatu, replacing Xie Bohua.
Chen Weiqing was appointed ambassador to Iraq, replacing Wang Yong.
Wang Shiting was appointed ambassador to Malawi, replacing Zhang Qingyang.
Wang Min was appointed ambassador to Norway, replacing Zhao Jun.
