
Zhou Baozhong, 69, is a villager in Zhoujiacun village, east China's Shandong province. His son, Zhou Yong was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis mixed with femoral head necrosis after he graduated from middle school. In order to take care of his paralyzed son, Zhou Baozhong quitted his job as carpenter and returned to the village in 1992. From then on, Zhou has made a living by collecting scraps and paid the treatment fee of more than 400,000 yuan in the first 10 years.
After a long time of rehabilitation exercises, Zhou Yong can move slowly with a walking stick. In 2014, Zhou Yong opened an online shop on Taobao.com, an e-commerce platform, hoping to earn his life by this way.
