BEIJING, July 31 -- Zhao Kezhi has been transferred from party chief of southwest China's Guizhou Province to north China's Hebei Province.
The appointment was announced Friday by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
He took the place of Zhou Benshun, who was dismissed Tuesday and is under investigation for suspected "severe violation of discipline and the law" by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
The CPC Central Committee appointed Chen Min'er, the incumbent Guizhou governor, party chief of Guizhou earlier Friday.
