A large area of geologic relics has been discovered at a coal field in a village in Guangzhou lately. As this area has never been researched and protected, a large number of valuable fossils have been used to make bricks.
Wang Yongdong, an expert with Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeonotology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, says that this is the only geologic heritage of the late Triassic period in Guangzhou. The site has great scientific research value. (Photo/Yangcheng Evening News)
