3. "Islamic State"(ISIS) makes terrorist attacks, Russia’s strong response triggers big reactions

The extremist organization "Islamic State"(ISIS) claimed it was responsible for terrorist attacks including the crash of a Russian airliner and explosion and shooting in Paris. On Nov. 20, the UN Security Council strongly condemned “Islamic State”, and Russia, the U.S., France and Germany launched intensive military strikes. The return of Russia’s armed forces to the Middle East triggered a complicated reaction in western society. On Nov. 24, Turkey shot down a Russian fighter, and Russia introduced several countermeasures.
