8. The world remembers the victory of WWII, China and Russia stress the importance of maintaining international order

The United Nations and countries around the world commemorated the 70th anniversary of the victory of World War Two: On May 9, Russia held a victory parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War; On Sept. 3, a grand military parade was held in Beijing to commemorate China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War. The contributions made by China and Russia during WWII have been widely recognized. The two countries played important roles in the victory of WWII and post-war international order.
